HCRS is pleased to announce that Ed Piper has received his Psychologist-Doctorate license from the State of Vermont. Dr. Piper, a Clinical Supervisor for HCRS’ Adult Outpatient program in Hartford, began his goal to become a Clinical Psychologist in 1993 when he returned to Vermont with his family following a decade in the Navy.
Building on his MA in psychology from United States International University in San Diego, CA, he entered Antioch New England’s Graduate program in clinical psychology. Following a one year internship at The Counseling Center at Norwich University in 1997, his doctoral dissertation: “Doubt and the Boundaries of Therapeutic Confidence” was accepted in 2005 and he was granted a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Piper completed his post-doctorate years as a Clinical Supervisor at HCRS and sat for his Psychologist Boards earlier this year. Dr. Piper’s clinical and supervisory work at HCRS have been a constant throughout his training where his interests in adult development, addictions, recovery, somatoform disorders, and the valid applications for evidence based practice have been well served. |
