Access Crisis Program Print E-mail

The Access Crisis Program provides crisis response and follow-up services to children and their families, including crisis evaluation and stabilization, referrals, and telephone support seven days a week, 24 hours a day through a crisis line and a full crisis response team. The Access team assists children, their parents, teachers, police, and emergency room personnel, either on-site or at one of HCRS' offices. Access clinicians are available in the clinic to accept referrals for children immediately following a crisis. Access case managers also provide post-crisis follow-up with youth and families to help them identify triggers to situations that often lead to a crisis, how to manage those triggers, and to assist with referrals to other services as needed. The Access team has psychiatric consultation available 24/7 for the more difficult cases involving multiple medication reactions, involuntary hospitalizations, and suicide assessments.
