Case Management Print E-mail

These staff members work with youth and families directly to support them in a variety of ways, including teaching specific behavioral and parenting skills, carrying out specific objectives from the plan of care, and providing home-based support and skill building to parents and care-givers. In addition to helping parents learn essential household management and life skills, our staff link them with other useful resources within the community. This service requires Medicaid eligibility.

Intensive Case Managers

Intensive case managers function in much the same way as regular case managers, but at a much more intensive level, providing more hours of service to a single family for a briefer period of time. This service is used in severe cases where the strong possibility of an out-of-home placement warrants a more intensive collaboration between the youth, the custodial parent, and the HCRS treatment team. These case managers work more closely with the family, often in the home at critical times of the day, including early in the morning when the child needs to get ready for school or in the evening. This service requires Medicaid eligibility.

Case Aid/Respite Services

Our Case Aid Service is a mentoring program for children who have limited opportunities for social/community outings and need guidance and support on social and behavioral skills. Candidates must be on Medicaid and be a current client of HCRS. Each child usually receives 5 hours of service per week. This program is accessed through referral forms from HCRS school-based clinicians, outpatient clinicians, and case managers.

Our Respite Service is for families in need of a short break due to a child’s mental health needs. The child does not need to be an HCRS client. Contact information for HCRS Respite Coordinators:
