School-Based Clinical Services: The school-based clinicians are HCRS Master level clinicians located in schools who work in collaboration with school staff to support the success of children and families. HCRS has many clinicians in schools throughout Windham and Windsor Counties including elementary, middle, and high schools. They work closely with special education programs, often providing clinical services required in a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).

School-Based Behavioral Interventionist Services: The HCRS school-based interventionist program provides one-on-one emotional/behavioral support to students in a wide range of school settings. The goal of the program is to allow students to remain in mainstream school settings while learning important emotional/behavioral skills that will make it possible them to succeed with natural supports in the school. The program provides assessment, behavior planning, and skills training designed to meet the individual needs of the student. School-based interventionists and their clinical support team assist students and their families with identifying appropriate goals, learning skills, and accessing needed resources and services.

All referrals to the program come directly from the schools through the IEP or 504 process. Participants in the program are all open HCRS clients who are Medicaid eligible.
