As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will support the independence of adults who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Upper Valley area. This is an opportunity to help the people we support to learn a variety of skills and to be a part of their community. Unlike many other jobs, no 2 days are likely to be the same here. In this role, it is important to be comfortable supporting people who use a wheelchair. There may be support needed with some personal care tasks. Compassion for others is crucial, as is the desire to learn. Education Applicant must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and insurance. Experience and or education in working with adults with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred.
