HCRS hosted its third annual Golf Tournament for Autism Awareness on August 20 at the beautiful Crown Point Country Club in Springfield. After cool, wet weather at HCRS’ first two tournaments, over 80 players enjoyed the warm, sunny weather at this year’s event.
Players competed for various hole-in-one prizes including $10,000 cash and for longest drive and closest to the pin awards. In addition, participants received a gift bag including the selection of a pair of Sundog sunglasses, and participated in a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Following the tournament, there was an awards banquet and buffet dinner.
The first place winner of the golf tournament was the JAS Auto Body Team (Toby Jasmin, Bobby Davis, Jake Obar, and Ned Waters). Second place went to Team TSP Plumbing (Jarrod James, John James, Richard DeMuzio, and Tim Patterson). Third place went to the Mascoma Bank Team (Greg Kennedy, Pete Johnson, Elden Dube, and Gary Neil). Winners of the longest drive were Julianne Vance and James Blair; and closest to the pin winners were Elizabeth Kolodziej and Elden Dube.
