HCRS hosted its second annual Golf Tournament for Autism Awareness on September 11 at the beautiful Crown Point Country Club in Springfield.
Over 80 players took to the greens to support this worthwhile cause. Players competed for various hole-in-one prizes including $10,000 cash and for longest drive and closest to the pin awards. In addition, participants received a bag of gifts and participated in a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Following the tournament, everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner provided by Duffer’s Restaurant and Tavern.
The first place winners of the golf tournament were the JAS Auto Body Team (Toby Jasmin, Jake Obar, Chris House, and Bobby Davis). Second place went to Team Dow (John Dow, Zach Dow, Brian Woodbury, and Chris Gould). Third place went to the Chittenden Bank Team (Sean Long, Jim Lynch, Kurt Merrill, and Matt Keller). Each of the top three finishers received engraved plaques along with prizes. Winners of the longest drive were Christina Graves and Kurt Merrill; Bobby Davis was awarded the closest to the pin prize.
